Boo? Doesn’t sound as bad when all I did was work for an hour and hang around for the rest of the morning. Special kudos to Media Banners team, Maki, MJ, Des and King, who were still working that time. Paul Ang, Loi, Imee and Mart too. These guys work like Santa’s elves (I was going to say “hell” but sticking with the theme), so the least I could do for them was get them some Yellow Cab for a Noche Buena lunch-style. Yes, I secretly wanted good karma points and pizza that morning too but it was more for them, they deserve it.

Afternoon was something I was really excited for, rest. Doing nothing, surfing the net, downloading songs and reading comics. It. Was. Awesome.

Noticed a lot of people are sick lately. The lone bad thing about this year’s Christmas. Hope it didn’t cloud up your holidays.

Orphan carollers came by our house for carolling (duh). Mom, Grandma and Tita Maritza got all emotional hihihi...

Noche Buena was fine. Sad we didn’t have dinner at our cousin’s house for the traditional baked macaroni and rellenong manok or bangus. Instead we had Tito Jojo and family visit us and also we introduced something new, Christmas hotdogs. Why? Why not?!

Gifts were great this Christmas. Got a lot of Star Wars stuff I wanted plus a lot of other cool stuff too.

Family Christmas spending was higher, mostly because Joey now buys gifts in Greenbelt and not Ace Hardware. Angela and Jomy are now buying their own gifts too. Yay more gifts! Everyone had good choices too.

Have to admit that there’s some mixed guilt in there, getting a lot of stuff in the wants section instead of the needs. Makes me feel lucky I guess, but also more mindful of the things I have. Something I hope to bring ‘til next year.

Just realized that this would be the last Christmas in our house, 4917. We’re moving next year and I guess it’s kind of sad that we’re leaving this place. Been here for 25 (turning 26) years. It’s cool though because new house means new memories. Although I’m keeping as much memories as I can of this place. Even though it’s up to its neck in people, pets and things, this will always be a good home.

Stayed up late last night to reply to all the texts and to text other people who I feel have made my year pretty cool. Actually that’s about everyone I know, but I didn’t have the consciousness to text you all. To all those I wasn’t able to text, Merry Christmas!

Went to mass last night and this morning again with Grandma, which makes me twice holy haha peace God. Funny that both homilies were almost the same, they both had the “financial crisis segment”. I guess every priest out there has the Christmas homily codigo in their pockets.

Had lunch up in Haiku in Greenbelt with Grandma and Jojo, since we’re the ones left in the house. Everyone left for Baguio this morning and we’re following in the 27th. Why following? Grandma’s waiting for her right hand Elvie and I got some work to do. Yeah, when people ask me why I still have to go to work on the 26th, I just growl and mumble and hope they quit nagging.

Funny though, in the celebration of the birth of Jesus I learned a lot about how I was born. I heard the “Tito Jojo side” of the story of JM’s transit-ial birth. To those who don’t know, I wasn’t born in the hospital but in a station wagon on the way to the ER. Apparently, Tito Jojo did not faint or puke or whatever, and I was out already before we left the car. I always thought I was out half in the car and half in the ER. Dad was driving and mom was at the back and Jojo delivered. All this on the way to Makati Med. And Jojo held small bloody me in his hands before we were allowed into the hospital. Cool story huh?

But still, this is Jesus' birthday and I’m not him (talks like a gentleman…), so back to Christmas…

Seattle’s Best Black and White Mocha is officially my favourite coffee in the world.

So Christmas was good to me this year, and I guess it’s because of the people I shared it with. From the Wideout Christmas Party, to drinks at Miguel’s, to the Block dinner at Chilli’s, up until the family celebration, and everything in between, it was all good.

Because good times with these people are the best gifts I got this Christmas.

Merry Christmas people, and hope you are all having a great holiday season!

Late nights in the office, Roane and Castle's birthday bash, simbang gabi (my first one!) and others. Cool thing my Grandma gave me my Christmas gift early, which was cash, which i could spend, to buy stuff! So i thought what to buy, and i realized i havent spent on this vice for more than a month already. So i decided...Comics!

Been a while since i've been to my comic dealer so i picked up the issues i've missed. Damn work's keeping me so busy i lost touch with my imaginary friends and their super-powered stories.

What i got to read...
Secret Invasion #8 - The last part! Read it, it's bitin!
Young X-Men #8 - Interesting twist to a cheesy team. I like it!

And yet to read...
X-Force #8 and #9 - Can't believe i missed two issues. I should be ashamed of myself.
Fathom #4 - more underwater actionnn...
Green Lantern Corps: Ring Quest - yay more Green Lantern adventures!
A Tribute to Michael Turner - Artists making tribute drawings to my favorite penciler. Nice.

So yes, i spend half of my Christmas money from Grandma on comics. Thanks Grandma!

On another topic, i visited my tita's house to check out my artist cousin's art exhibit in their place. Pretty cool. Apparenty, she's even more big time now, with bigger paintings too! Awesome work. Makes me want to start painting, drawing or anything again. But yes, i've heard that a lot of times before. Anyway, small steps. Still thinking on what to focus on. So artsy stuff? Next year, next year.

So that's Sunday. Can't wait 'til Christmas!

Didn't feel like eating so went back to sleep.

Sleep. Up until 3pm. Noisy siblings started coming home. Surprised i was home today, but i was down and out so they left me alone, or went to play PS3.

Work. Went online for around 30 mins to to check on stuff, until i realized this was one of those few times i'm home on a weekday afternoon. So off computer, sleep again.

Sleep. Until 7pm. Mom wakes me up and tells me to eat. Lugaw time. Plus Hydrite, which i think was bad because it didn't dissolve that much. Plus Immodium, hehe i find that medicine so funny.

Dinner was half a Golden Brown Waffle (oh yes Pancake House again!). Apparently, we don't get sick of Pancake House.

Then Rock Band 2! Yes we have it! Eye of the Tiger! My Own Worst Enemy! Spoonman! Haha sosi name.

So i got into cooking mode again and bought pasta ingredients this afternoon. Project: Marinara Sauce with something shrimp.

While cooking:
I got lazy to print the recipe. Oops.
I didn't chop the parsley fine enough.
I didn't food processor the sauce like the website said.
I think i put too much white wine in the sauce. It's true, cavemen had it better.

Finding myself making choices ignoring what my brain says. Things are going on so fast my gut's doing all the navigating. I'm afraid i'll hit a wall soon. Hell, it's the way movies are played out. Their playing me now.

So in the spirit of simplifying things, i sport a "1" haircut. Why?
50% Feel i need a change.
20% One less thing to worry about.
20% It'll take a while 'til the next haircut, they cost a lot now.
10% It's Star Wars: The Force Unleashed's Starkiller's hairstyle...kinda.

One of the things i had on my things-to-do-this-year list was to "Organize life". Umm, doesn't seem like it's happening hehe. At least i ticked some off this year, like "Listen, read and watch everything" (e.g. Pinoy films) and "Sleep and eat well". I'm eating way well, and working on the sleeping. Working on the rest of the list. Three months to go.

I didn't notice just how many months passed by. Too fast. What to do with the rest of the year...? I say get there in a way you'll remember.

One of the biggest reasons why is how main character Starkiller uses his force to do a lot of fun/evil things. Some of my favorites...

Shocking people, then lightsaber-ing them.
Force Pushing people and watching them fly.
Sending people through windows, out to space.
Throwing people to walls.
Throwing big electrically charged things to hit enemies.
Throwing enemies to hit more enemies.
Throwing people to force fields and fry.
Dropping enemies down a hole, and get a bonus!
Holding enemies up in the air, right where flying Tie Fighters run them over.

This list will only get longer.
Good weekend with friends, family, food and a bit of spending :)

Friday, stayed a while after work. Yes cool, Fridays are fun at the office.

Saturday was shopping day with Angela. My had my payday-toy-fix buying us (yes, us. damay siya) Star Wars two packs. Took us a Mongkok meal to decide which ones to buy. Wasn't a total geeky day, I bought a shirt too.

Secret Invasion #6. Cool, big fight gonna happen!

Saturday night spent at the office. Not as bad as you think when you see people hanging out joining those that have to work over the weekend. Rediscovered WoW too. Also happened to be a gimmick meeting place that night for gimmicking Wideout peeps.

Today, played dota again with brothers and cousin. Though i hate wasting hours playing that game, have to to admit it's fun playing with them. Highlight of that battle was my omniknight beating down my cousin's spirit breaker, whilst i type "i will have steak tonight!".

Also, found the time to watch Battlestar Galactica again, season 3 episodes 7-9. Got Joey addicted too hehe. Always good ending a viewing with a Starbuck episode, epspecially when she beats up whiny Apollo. (oh yeah, i just searched those pics!)Took me a day to open my two pack. Stupid complicated packaging. Took a while to choose but ended up with these guys below. Don't know who they are but they're cool looking hehe Here's some pics!
Now, i'm giving myself the "stop hand gesture" to stop this geekiness. Something i invented during family meals to make fun of Jay when he says something corny. Still, good weekend. Hope y'all enjoyed yours!

After a tiring week at work, decided to spend a bit and hibernate during the weekend. Comics, jeans and a toy. Some of the comics I'm reading were ending their first arcs, so cool. Here's how i did hibernation mode...

Uncanny X-Men #501. This one's ok-ok. Cool because Pixie plays a part in it. Bad because she gets beaten bad. I'm reading the next one to see how they get the bad guys back.
Young X-Men #5. I was hoping for the longest time it might get better and end their first arc well. Nope it didn't. Not cool.
X-Force #6. Ended of their first arc too. Hope Archangel stays Archangel. Ending was ok, left a lot hanging though. At least that means a lot more action in the future. Yeah, my stress reliever read. Green Lantern: Rebirth. The guy at the comic store told me i HAVE to read this one if i enjoyed the Sinestro Corps War (which i must review soon, it's awesome). Rebirth happens before the war, so this was like watching a prequel to a movie. Nice, but i enjoyed Sinestro Corps War more.
Aaand finally, Star Wars: Clone Wars Captian Rex Mighty Mugg! Yes way to spend money, but he looks damn cool. He comes with two guns. I wanted to open it but Angela wanted to keep him in his box (and get him). We're looking for the Yellow one next hehe. So that's the weekend. That and drawing, Rock Band and Dota with siblings and cousin Franco. Also try Seattle's Best's Black and White Mocha (or dark and white?), it's awesome. Was hoping i could entend my weekend but looks like there's stuff to do tomorrow. Cool cool, i'm rested. And it's not cool to give up (hehe feeling Green Lantern).

Woke up from a scary nightmare this morning. Just realized it might be from reading Secret Invasion, because people i knew (who weren't really them) were storming my house. Paranoia dreams not cool.

Went to work, which isn't that bad where i work. Bad only when the internet goes down in the office!, which happened and is my problem. Not cool again! Net goes down, phones go down, people can't work ahhh. Machines are evil. Good thing the tech peeps were able to fix enough stuff for work. Still have to fix some stuff tom.

Headcount filling requirement woes still ongoing. Does no one want a job these days?

Got home to find one of my gecko homes empty! One of my geckos died! The first yellow one, Ash is no more. I thought he was just sick and would get better soon. I guess he got worse faster. Dad said he wasn't moving this afternoon. Poor dead gecko that started it all, you will be remembered. Crap dammit.

On the lighter side, i googled "courage" this morning at work (for fun, i'm not depressed). I found this pretty cool quote...

"Courage is facing our deepest fears, Heroism is facing them again and again." - Tim McInerey

Again and again and again...bring ittt.

My Yellow Gecko has new friends! Brought my dad to the reptile breeder place. We were on impulse buy mode. And that's not the best place to be on impulse buy mode. I owe my dad, ouch!

But the two we got were pretty cool. Took pictures of them along with the first one i got three weeks ago. Gecko gang's pics below...

This the first gecko, Yellow Ash is starting to lose his stripes and getting his spots. He's growing...a bit!

This is one of the new ones, a Mack Snow type, meaning he'll be more pale white than yellow when he grows up. He's the smallest and most jumpy-est of the three.

This other new guy's a Tangerine, meaning he'll will grow up to be bright yellow and orange, but right now all he does is sleep. Big fat steady gecko.

Too many pets! Too many! Woohoo :D

Craving Yang Chow Fried Rice last friday, and find some in our ref when i got home!

First time to go around Eastwood mall last Saturday. Such a Makati boy, but cool.

First time to eat in Omakase near Eastwood. M2, Scorpion Roll and Jurrasic Roll you rolls are the bomb!

Helping my brother do Flash. I forgot a lot, but still cool.

Macross Frontier marathon. Awwwesome show! Robots, school drama, celebrity drama, singing, all in one show.

Shanghai Kiss, see my review.

Bringing my dad to the comic store. I actually didn't get anything. My dad and my brothers bought a lot of things. World of Warcraft action figures. Fun.

Going to Cartimar after. That place is always fun. Dad got a new snake terrarium, he gave his old one to me...

...to give my leopard gecko Ash a new bigger crib! He likes.

And watching Disney's Camp Rock. Well the movie wasn't that good, but anything Disney is a happiness injection. The main characters' last song was okay though.

That's this weekend's feel good list...because it's cool seeing life's good stuff :D
